Extreme weather alert in the UAE
UAE authorities have asked motorists to exercise caution during extreme weather conditions in the country.
The National Centre of Meteorology has issued an alert, warning that dust would blow and weather would be hazardous in parts of the country. The authority said there could be a low horizontal visibility on the roads with strong winds suddenly blowing at a speed of 45 km/hr causing blowing dust and sand. They have asked motorists to slow down and leave a space between the vehicles.
A tweet from Abu Dhabi police have called on motorists to adhere to the changing speed limits displayed on electronic information boards.
“Abu Dhabi Police call on motorists to exercise caution due to the rainy weather and to follow the changing speed limits displayed on electronic information boards. Drive Safely.”

Residents have also been informed by NCM that it is raining lightly along the Al Ain – Dubai road.
The weather authority have urged public to stay away from wadis and avoid going to the sea during this extreme weather conditions.
