Free Ride on the new Electric Bus trial service
As per the RTA website, the public can ride on these trial buses for free. The routes will run from La Mer to Al Sufouh, with several stops on the way such as Burj Al Arab, Wild Wadi, Dubai Offshore Sailing Club, and Mercato Mall. Public can take free ride on these electric buses while you enjoy the wonderful sights of Dubai on the way.
Furthermore, the trial run will test innovative technologies that will improve customer service and enable the bus to function as a seamless asset that integrates with Dubai’s mass transit system in an environment friendly manner. A continual improvement process will be carried out by including the benefits and performance of the bus as well as feedback from drivers and customers.

“This is the first agreement under the Memorandum of Understanding signed between RTA and the Department of Transport and Main Roads, Queensland Government, Australia, aimed at enhancing the cooperation between both parties,” said Ahmed Hashim Bahrozyan, CEO of Public Transport Agency, RTA.
RTA’s environmental-friendly plans call for increasing the number of electric and hybrid vehicles, improving energy-efficient facilities, upgrading streetlights, and reducing waste. It also aims to modify its buildings to achieve carbon neutrality in line with Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050,” added Bahrozyan.
Due to the fact that the new eco-friendly electric buses will produce zero emissions, they are an excellent addition to Dubai’s efforts to fight climate change and also support the initiative – Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050. The initial trial will also verify the feasibility of using electric buses on the Dubai roads by RTA.
