Louvre Abu Dhabi is entering the digital world with a new mobile game that aims to engage and educate young audiences. “The Secret of the Dome Stars” invites kids to go on an exciting virtual journey that combines learning with fun. This creative game is set to change how children engage with art and enhance their observational skills while enjoying themselves.

Designed for families with children aged 6 to 12, the event combines storytelling and scavenger hunting perfectly. Players in the game will need to find and collect 12 stars, each linked to a piece of art hidden within one of the museum’s 12 galleries.
The game, available starting in July, can only be played in the Louvre’s permanent galleries. Players scan a QR code or click a link to start 45-60 minutes of celestial fun.
With the help of Volpi, a friendly fox and the guardian of the stars, players must solve puzzles and quizzes using the provided clues and by observing the artworks to find the stars. The game aims to educate them about the artworks and inspire them to build a connection with museums and history, according to Louvre Abu Dhabi.
And the best part? It’s completely free! Plus, children under 18 get free admission to the museum. It’s a win-win!
Available in Arabic, English and French, the game was also tested in its early stages of development by 19 families and 34 children to ensure it was immersive and exciting.
The Louvre Abu Dhabi features a collection of over 600 masterpieces, organized into 12 thematic chapters that tell the story of human expression and creativity. The Secret of the Dome Stars allows children to interact with these masterpieces in a fun and educational way. They will solve clues and uncover secrets hidden within the artwork, all while learning to appreciate art with a critical eye.
