The highly anticipated Liwa Date Festival in Abu Dhabi has announced its official dates. This annual celebration of Emirati culture and heritage promises to be an exciting event for all attendees.
The 20th edition of the Liwa Date Festival will take place in Liwa City, Al Dhafra Region from July 15 to 28, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court.

Organized by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, the Liwa Date Festival aims to highlight the date farming sector and support farmers in the Al Dhafra Region. In addition to discovering all the popular date varieties, you can enjoy competitions like ‘Best Date Fruit’ and ‘Best Date Grower,’ explore various handicrafts, and experience several attractions designed for children.
Packed with nutrients and antioxidants, these naturally sweet fruits can be enjoyed in various ways: fresh, dried, stuffed with nuts, coated in chocolate, blended into a frappe, and more.
