Dubai Shopping Festival, the most popular shopping festival in Dubai is back for its 28th edition, and will run from 15 December 2022 to 29 January 2023.
As part of the Dubai Shopping Festival, DSF drone shows will take place daily at Bluewaters Island and The Beach, JBR. Here are the details:
DSF Drone Shows at Bluewaters and The Beach, JBR
The dazzling drone shows will take place daily until January 29, 2023.
There will be two spectacular shows every day from The Beach, JBR and Bluewaters Island at 7pm and 10pm. On New’s Year’s Eve, the shows will take place at 8pm and 11pm.
The DSF drone show will feature 500 aerial vehicles soaring hundreds of metres above the ground lighting up the night sky, to celebrate the 28th edition of Dubai Shopping Festival.
Each show was sketched out to last around five minutes. The first show is inspired by a day-in-the-life of a tourist in Dubai. The show begins by depicting a tourist flying into the UAE and landing at Dubai International Airport, before experiencing a journey through the famous iconic sites of the Dubai Shopping Festival, including its iconic fireworks and the Festival of Light.
The second show – based on “Future of Dubai,” – gives audience an immersive glimpse into Dubai two decades from now. Set in 2040, the forward-looking experience gives onlookers a glimpse of what Dubai might look like as the city propels into a trailblazing tomorrow.
The 3D production uses cutting-edge technology including AR headsets, 500 drones, and two pilots to illustrate the story of Dubai. The Middle East’s longest running Drone Light Show is an unmissable highlight of the season, and of all, the show is free to watch!
What else at Bluewaters Island
Apart from the DSF drone show, there’s also firework display at 9:30pm lighting up the skies daily at Bluewaters Island.
