While the global release of the movie was on Friday, July 21, Dubai fans had to wait a little longer.
Now, with approval from the UAE Media Council, the film is set to be screened a couple of weeks earlier than its rescheduled date of August 31. Excitingly, Vox Cinemas, Roxy Cinemas, and Reel Cinemas have announced that the Greta Gerwig-helmed movie will hit the theaters on Thursday, August 10, 2023.

Barbie enthusiasts in the UAE can mark their calendars for Thursday, August 10, 2023, as the day to dress up in their finest pink attire and head to the cinemas.
Tickets are now on sale at Vox Cinemas, The Roxy and other major UAE cinemas.
“The UAE Media Council has granted the Barbie movie the approval to be screened in the UAE’s licensed cinemas after completing the necessary procedures in line with the standards of media content and the UAE age classification,”.
Barbie was originally planned to be released on July 20, in sync with the global release. However, last month, cinema websites in the UAE unexpectedly updated the screening date to August 31.
