Dubai Hills Mall will be home to the middle east’s largest cinema when Roxy Cinemas opens its new venue on Wednesday, August 31.
The new Roxy Cinemas, located on Level 1 of the Dubai Hills Mall, will feature a total of 15 screens including seven ultra-premium Platinum Screens (from October), seven Silver Screens and Roxy Xtreme.
Roxy Xtreme
Roxy Xtreme is an immersive experience put on by Dubai Holding Entertainment spanning 28 metres by 15.1 metres screen, making it a 423 square metres screen – twice the width of a tennis court. Crystal-clear laser projection, heart-pounding surround sound and the most comfortable seats in the business – surely one of the best ways to watch latest releases!
There will be 382 premium reclining seats available to book across three tiers: Standard, Premium and Director’s Boxes.
There will be three director’s boxes, each a plush suite perched above the auditorium with just 12 luxurious suites to offer the best view and most privacy.. In addition, the guests in the box will have access to an on-demand waiter service, a footrest and headrest, as well as wireless charging, heating in the seats and a personal swivel table.

Roxy Platinum
Roxy Platinum is for those looking for the most luxurious way to watch a movie. Reclining seats, blankets, pillows, and call-service come as a standard in Platinum experience. In addition, there will be seat-warmers, wireless chargers, and personal swivel tables to each seat.
For those who wish to take things a step further, the Roxy Platinum experience will allow them to order gourmet good such as bao buns, burgers, tacos, salads, desserts, and more from the exclusive Platinum lounge before heading into the movie theatre or from their seats.
Tickets are Dhs165, or Dhs255 for a welcome drink and nibbles upon arrival at the lounge, followed by a two-course meal plus a drink.
The price of Silver tickets, which offer a stadium-style setting with powerful sound and images, starts at Dhs36.75.
Director’s boxes are still to be priced.
Tickets will be available for booking closer to the opening date at www.theroxycinemas.com or via the Roxy Cinemas app. The schedule will include the latest Hollywood, Bollywood and Arabic-language films.
