Free Hayya SIM cards are on offer for those planning to make a visit to Qatar for FIFA World Cup 2022.
Ooredoo, Official Middle East & Africa Telecommunications Operator of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 has launched free Hayya SIM for fans attending the world’s biggest sporting event, and to stay connected during the event.
From 1 November, Ooredoo free Hayya SIM cards will offer visitors to Qatar 2022 local minutes, 2022 local SMS and 2022MB data, with the line valid for three days.
How to get the free Hayya SIM card
The free Hayya SIM card can be availed by any fan with a Hayya card attending the World Cup.
The free Hayya SIM cards will be available at dispensing machines positioned across Qatar – at airports, ports and land borders; in taxis; at metro stations; in hotels and at official FIFA fan accommodations; at Fan Zones; at Ooredoo shops, franchises and dealers; and many more. Visitors will also be able to get a Hayya SIM online at the Ooredoo eShop.
The Hayya SIM will be available in two formats; a physical SIM card and an eSIM.
Activation of the Hayya SIM is quick and efficient, with eSIMs activated as soon as the customer connects to the Ooredoo network. Physical SIM cards needs to be activated via the Ooredoo App or at the Ooredoo eShop.
