Not travelling to Qatar for FIFA? Fret not! FIFA is bringing the World Cup to Dubai with the FIFA Fan Festival in case you can’t make it to Qatar for the World Cup.
Dubai Harbour in the United Arab Emirates will be among the six locations worldwide to hold FIFA fan festivals during the World Cup in Qatar. The announcement was made by FIFA on Monday, October 10th.
From the first whistle of the FIFA World Cup on Sunday, November 20, fans will have the opportunity to enjoy this epic festival in Dubai.
FIFA Fan Festival
For the first time, a FIFA fan festival will be held outside the host country. It will offer live match broadcasts from the World Cup, pop-up activations, performances by international DJs, local musicians and artists, as well as appearances by “Fifa Legends”. Selected events will boast 4D audio that will bring the sounds from the matches in Qatar to local events.
Apart from Dubai Harbour, Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro, Mexico City’s Plaza de la Republica, Anhangabau Valley in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and downtown nightclub venues in London and Seoul, South Korea, are the other cities that will host FIFA fan festival with official game viewing parties and music events.

The FIFA Fan Festival is going global!
The event in Dubai will run from Sunday November 20 to Sunday December 18 at a purpose built space at Dubai Harbour. There will be a ticket requirement for entry to the FIFA fan festival, which will be available soon on the FIFA+ website.
The waterfront location in Dubai will complement the main FIFA Fan Festival in Doha’s Al Bidda Park.
FIFA indicated that all cities hosting the FIFA Fan Festival will be linked to the main festival in Qatar through the FIFA World Cup brand in each of the sites.
“The FIFA Fan Festival was designed to bring fans together beyond the stadiums to experience the best of football, music, culture and lifestyle,” said FIFA Chief Business Officer Romy Gai. “We’re honoured to collaborate with Budweiser, Corona and Brahma to take the FIFA Fan Festival concept that will live in Doha and reverberate it around these high-energy global events – taking the buzzing atmosphere of the FIFA World Cup to the doorsteps of fans worldwide.”
The fan festival will also be open during the below time slots:
- November 20th to November 28th: 12:00am to 3:00am
- November 29th to December 18th: 3:00pm to 3:00am
Additionally, FIFA also revealed more details about music events planned in Qatar during the November 20–December 18 tournament.
