Dave’s Hot Chicken opens its first branch in Dubai today.
With the success of Saudi’s fried chicken brand AL BAIK, we’re looking forward to seeing how Dave’s Hot Chicken does in Dubai. Well, if the chicken has to travel all the way from LA to Dubai, it really has got something that works far better than wings!
Founded by classically-trained chef Dave Kopushyan and three friends in early 2017, Dave’s Hot Chicken initially opened as a car park pop-up before expanding to 33 locations in the United States and Canada.

Dave’s Hot Chicken opens in Dubai at Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) today from 11AM.
The Armenian-owned hugely popular food concept boasts Drake as a major investor. Drake isn’t the only major investor either—both Samuel L Jackson and Boston Red Sox chairman Tom Werner are major stakeholders.
So how does it taste? Specialising in hot chicken tenders and sliders, there are seven spice levels to choose from: No Spice, Lite Mild, Mild, Medium, Hot, Extra Hot and Reaper. How HOT can go? And, if you want to try the Reaper, you need to sign a waiver first, seriously!
Dave’s Hot Chicken is made with Carolina Reaper chili, which earned the Guinness Book Of World Records title of world’s hottest pepper in 2013.
Obviously, the only sauce is Dave’s, plus honey – the sweetest, most brilliant addition to fried chicken. They are also serving other sides like house-made kale slaw, mac and cheese, and crispy fries or cheese fries.
With combo deals starting at around Dhs52, tenders come on sliced bread with pickles and slaw, while sliders come with potato buns and slaw.
The Nashville-style hot chicken chain, will open its second branch in Dubai soon at Motor City.
Dave’s Hot Chicken was brought to the UAE in partnership with Lavoya, a restaurants operator group led by Walid Hajj, also the minds behind Dubai appearances of Barbar and Joe and the Juice. They have also announced the opening of Dave’s Hot Chicken in 31 locations in the GCC including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, with the Qatar branch to open as early as next month.
“The Arabian Gulf region is a chicken market that lacks a quality chicken concept, and we’ll bridge that gap with Dave’s Hot Chicken.” , said Walid Hajj.
