Calling all yoga enthusiasts..
This weekend, there will be a Guinness World Record attempt for a yoga class at Zabeel Park in Dubai. The record is being attempted for the largest number of nationalities participating in an international yoga event. The current record, set by Qatar, is for 144 nationalities.
Over 2,000 people are expected to attend the yoga event, held on Saturday, May 13, 2023.

The event is organized by the Dubai Sports Council in collaboration with various other partners. It’s free to attend and open to all ages and experiences.
And the best of all, don’t carry your yoga mats. You can just walk in, and you’ll be given a free yoga mat once you arrive.
The one-hour yoga class will be led by experienced and renowned yoga instructor, Allanoua Gaham.

Registration starts at 4.30pm, with the yoga class happening at 6.30pm. Pre events and entertainment activities will begin after 4pm.
There will be a number of activities leading up to the main event at Zabeel Park, Dubai Frame Amphitheatre, in an effort to unite the world in the pursuit of good health and wellness.
There will be several artists performing at the event including Juampi Pellicer from The Voice Argentina. Sudanese model Esra, Indian-Pakistani content creator Issa and Adam Eddine of Virgin Radio’s The Chosen One will also appear at the event.
With the event set to take place on a grand scale, organizers are urging families – including those with children – to come along and join in the fun.

After the yoga class, it will be announced whether the record was broken or not and there will be live entertainment.
With the help of over 200 volunteers, participants will be directed to different park gates and there is ample parking available. Alternatively, people can opt to use the Dubai Metro. Dubai Sports Council have made arrangements for over 3,000 people to take part in the event.
