Turkey Syria Earthquake: A magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck Turkey and Syria on February 6, killing at least 3,000 people and injuring over 12,000 more. It was one of the strongest to hit the region in the last century. Many of them have lost their homes, have no provisions to survive harsh winter conditions, and need urgent relief aid.
Funding is urgently needed to help this people affected by the earthquakes survive this crisis and begin their recovery.

Here are the ways you can contribute your donations to support Turkey Syria earthquake victims.
Emirates Red Crescent (ERC)
Emirates Red Crescent has announced its campaign to help people affected by the earthquakes in, naming it “Bridges of Good.”
The campaign will run for two weeks where volunteers are needed to help pack relief boxes for survivors of the earthquakes.
Suggested donation items include winter clothes, blankets, canned food and baby food, and personal hygiene items including diapers, wipes and sanitary pads.
The campaign is being organized in partnership with the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation and the Ministry of Community Development. Anyone who wants to volunteer can register via the website volunteers.ae.

UNICEF Gulf
United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund has also mobilized aid to Syria, and is focusing on assessing the impact the quake had on water stations and any other interruptions to services. It is responding to the needs of thousands of families and children affected by the earthquake.
