There’s good news for all those who rely on Dubai taxis to get around, as ride-hailing app Yango launched its loyalty program, giving commuters a chance to get a free ride.
With the Yango app, Dubai residents and visitors can now collect loyalty points on every ride that they take to save up for future cashback.
Yango Plus
The loyalty scheme, Yango Plus, requires that you download the app on your phone and book Business or Premier class rides.
The app is available for all users, and those who sign up for the loyalty scheme via the app will receive 10% of the value of their journey as cashback points. One point is equivalent to DH1.
These points can be accumulated and spent to pay for their next ride. Also according to Yango, Plus members can get a free ride if they enough points to cover the trip.
Users can earn cashback points from card-paid rides and use them for both business and premier services without restriction.
Yango is a global taxi hailing app that was launched in Dubai in September last year and aims to provide users with quick car dispatch and premium vehicles. Yango already operates in more than 20 countries in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia and has now opened in the GCC.
Yango taxis are available in two different tariffs — comfort and premium. Comfort grants you access to premium cars such as a Lexus ES and Premier which includes luxury cars such as Mercedes S Class, GMC Yukon Denali, Cadillac Escalade and BMW 7 series cars.
Yango app uses its own technologies, which help reduce the net cost of the trip and the time that a driver spends seeking customers.
The company is viewed as Russia’s version of tech giant Google.
