FIFA World Cup 2022 fan zones
Dubai will soon be swollen with football fever ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. So football fans, who can’t make it to Qatar to watch the games are searching for cool places in Dubai to watch the action.
The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 kicks off on November 20, and the final being played on Sunday, December 18.
Here are the five fan zone spots in Dubai where you can watch the much awaited sporting event.
Fanzone by McGettigan’s
McGettigan’s are taking over Dubai Media City Amphitheatre to bring football fans an epic open-air, mega fan zone.
A dedicated fanzone by McGettigan’s comes from McGettigan’s and DGT Events, and it will open for the entire FIFA World Cup, from Saturday November 19 until Sunday December 18.
The outdoor venue will features the UAE’s largest TV screen, so fans will be able to get a closer sense of the stadium experience.
The super-sized fan zone in Dubai will offer fans more than just football, with a host of entertainment, live music, and McGettigan’s trademark hospitality. Standard tickets will have unallocated seating, but there will also be picnic benches, and VIP booths available to book, with pricing and other details to be announced soon.
A family zone and a Winterfest zone will be also be available in fanzone by McGettigan’s. The Winterfest zone will feature a featuring a snow park, skating rink, festive market, Santa’s grotto, and many fun activities and attractions for kids and adults, including the The Polar Express, the Christmas Jumper Party, Festive Movie Nights, Winterfest Holiday Camp, and more. A magical Christmas tree lighting experience will mark on Thursday, November 24th.
Visitors can expect to find Christmas themed food and beverage options such as mulled wine and hot chocolate for children.
Entry will be priced at Dhs50 per person, which will be fully redeemable on food and beverages.

Fan zone at Habtoor Grand Resort
Habtoor Grand World Cup fan zone is due to open on Sunday October 23, almost a month before the tournament kicks off.
An outdoor, tented area will be set up on a large grassy patch at Habtoor Grand Resort in Dubai Marina, and it will be able to accommodate 1500 football fans.
The fan zone will have big screens dotted around and benches and tables will be available for visitors to set up.
To satisfy hunger while watching your favourite game on the screen, pop-up food stalls will be serving tasty treats inside the licensed spot.

The Football Park, DIFC
The Football Park Fan Zone in DIFC will offer football fans a unique and premium way to experience the world’s greatest football tournament. The Football Park will host Michelin-starred restaurants, Private lounges with butlers, Chauffeur services, and a dedicated concierge for fans wanting to watch the matches in style (with celebrities and former football players…seriously?!).
Located at the podium level of Gate Avenue, this fan zone aims to provide “a luxurious viewing experience”, in front of a huge screen. The experience is being organised by the Art Dubai Group, which oversees numerous cultural events in the region, and Hoko Agency, which operates businesses within entertainment, sport and F&B.
Saleh Al Akrabi, chief executive of DIFC Property Management, said: “We are excited to give visitors and corporate guests an opportunity to experience a premium way to watch and be part of the world’s greatest football tournament. We will ensure The Football Park experience is as legendary as the game itself … the next best thing to the live, on-field experience.”
The ticket sale began on September 15.

Football Fan Zone Tent at Address Beach Resort
An air-conditioned tent will be set up for football fans at JBR’s beachfront resort during the World Cup.
Located on the hotel’s Events Lawn, the 250-seater tent will feature multiple screens and be decorated in the colours of the participating countries and teams.
There will be live entertainment between matches, and a menu of tasty snacks served throughout the tournament. The menu includes vegetable spring rolls, chicken popcorn, fried calamari and grilled Boston sliders.
Families can enjoy early kick-offs by entering the tent before 8pm on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Entrance is Dhs50 per person but it fully redeemable on food and beverages.

Barasti Beach Stadium, Le Meridien Mina Seyahi
The popular beachside sports bar, Barasti shows every game on a huge 12x7m screen at their epic fan zone. There will be live BBQ stations, food counters, flame throwers, laser shows, incredible drink deals, games, and entertainment.
Entry to the fan zone is free with tables and seating on a first come first serve basis. For those looking to reserve the best seats, you can pay Dhs350 and redeem the full amount back on food and drinks.

BudX FIFA Fan Festival
The Dubai version of BudX FIFA Fan Festival will be held at Dubai Harbour. The venue can accommodate a whopping 10,000 fans every day.
Fans can watch the matches live on custom-designed gigantic 330sqm screens featuring cutting edge 4D audio, and also enjoy a host of DJ’s both international and local. Additionally, there will be appearances from FIFA legends.
Tickets start at Dh78 and can be purchased on PlatinumList.

Fan City, Expo City Dubai
Expo City Dubai has unveiled a FIFA fan zone called “Fan City,” featuring giant screens, a slew of soccer-style entertainment, and a festival-like family atmosphere for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Expo City Dubai welcomes football fans of all ages to two unique zones: the family-friendly Jubilee Park and a deluxe experience at Al Wasl.
Jubilee Park will be open to football fans and visitors from the day the tournament kicks off on Sunday, November 20. Featuring jumbo screens, table-top games and plenty of football-themed games, Jubilee Park sounds like the perfect place for family bonding.
Jubilee Park can hold 10,000 spectators, and will feature bean bags and diverse food trucks serving a wide variety of culinary options. Additionally, Budweiser, the Official Beer of the FIFA World Cup, will provide a licensed area for legal drinking age visitors, as well as a shisha lounge.
Al Wasl will be a premium experience for visitors, that will begin on December 3, as the tournament gets underway. Visitors can expect a VIP guest immersive experience with four super-sized screens that will broadcast the matches live, augmented by in-game graphics projected on the dome.
